Salma Hayek Pregnant and Engaged

If you haven’t heard the news yet, Salma Hayek is pregnant with her first child at the tender age of 40. She also just got engaged. In a statement of Friday, Hayek’s publisher announced that “Businessman Francois-Henri Pinault and his fiancée, Salma Hayek, are happy to announce they are expecting the arrival of their first child.”

Hayek’s fiancé Pinault is the CEO of PPR. It is the world’s third largest luxury conglomerate. It owns Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, the French department store Printemps, catalog giant La Redoute and the music/bookstore chain FNAC.

Hayek just won a Golden Globe for the hit ABC series Ugly Betty. She is the executive producer of this show which won the Golden Globe for Best Television Series- Musical or Comedy award.

From 1999-2003 Hayek was dating Edward Norton. After that she dated Josh Lucas, which lasted about a year. She used to joke in the past, saying “I keep waiting to meet a man who has more balls than I do.” She has been trying to keep a low profile in the dating scene for the past few years. She also said “What works in a relationship of very public people is not making the relationship public...keeping it as personal as it can be.
