The California State Medical Board has confirmed that it is investigating Dr. Khristine Eroshevich. She is a Los Angeles psychiatrist and a friend of Anna Nichole Smith. She is the doctor who authorized all 11 prescriptions found in Anna's Florida hotel room after her Feb. 8 death. According to board spokeswoman Candis Cohen, the doctor is currently practicing medicine with a renewed and current license, and no action has been taken to suspend or restrict her license in any way.
Cohen couldn't comment on whether there have been any unrelated complaints involving the same doctor, but she did say that the investigation is connected to Smith. None of the medications found in the hotel room were actually in Smith's name, 8 were made out for Howard Stern, 2 were made out for Alex Katz, and one was made out to Dr. Eroshevich. There was no methadone, or Ativan found in the room, but they were both in Smith's system when she died. Dr. Eroshevich went with Anna on her trip to the Bahama's, and was with her on that last trip to Florida. Dr. Eroshevich authorized the prescription for Chloral Hydrate after her son died.
The doctor who prescribed the methadone is also being investigated by the State's Medical Board. Reports had shown that the doctor wrote out a prescription to Smith while she was pregnant, under the name "Michelle Chase" , which Smith has used as an alias before.
